This reversible cowl is a little more adventurous than most of my patterns.  The knitting itself is super easy – just a very simple cable pattern runs the circumference of the cowl.  Then you seam the two pieces at the short end and pick up stitches to make a ribbed border.  In order to make the cowl truly reversible, you pick up from both the front and back of the work, essentially seaming the front and back pieces together while you’re picking up stitches.  It sounds really complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it’s kind of fun!
