This top down shawl is shaped with yarn overs to create a semi-circular shape. Garter stitch short rows are worked to add length to the wingspan and they form sleek wedges that increase in size. An I-cord bind off is worked with a contrast color for a smooth finished edge.

Needles: 40” US 6 (10.5) / 4 (6.5)mm circular

Gauge: 22 (13) sts & 44 (26) rows = 4” / 10cm in garter stitch

Note that if you substitute a bulky yarn, you will need more yardage. If you substitute a worsted or DK yarn, you will use less yardage.
