Who doesn't know the story of the Wizard of Oz? Chronicling the adventures of a young farm girl named Dorothy in the magical Land of Oz, she and her pet dog, Toto, were swept away from their Kansas home by a cyclone. The book is one of the best-known stories in American literature and has been widely translated.
The movie adaptation is 80 years old this year and just as entertaining today. The original movie was in black and white but, due to the wonder of technicolor, the movie has been brought to life.
Shades of bright green with hints of bright yellow make up this colorway representing the center of the Land of Oz, better known as Emerald City. It is at the end of the famous yellow brick road, which starts in Munchkin Country. In the center of the Emerald City is the Royal Palace of Oz.
