Who doesn't know the story of the Wizard of Oz? Chronicling the adventures of a young farm girl named Dorothy in the magical Land of Oz, she and her pet dog, Toto, were swept away from their Kansas home by a cyclone. The book is one of the best-known stories in American literature and has been widely translated.
The movie adaptation is 80 years old this year and just as entertaining today. The original movie was in black and white but, due to the wonder of technicolor, the movie has been brought to life.
This pink and silver colorway is inspired by Glinda, also known as the Good Witch of the South. She is a fictional character created by L. Frank Baum in his Oz novels, first appearing in Baum's classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900), and is the most powerful sorceress in the Land of Oz, ruler of the Quadling Country south of the Emerald City, and protector of Princess Ozma.
