Beatitude - Ravenclaw (HP Yarn Club July 2017)

Ravenclaw corresponds roughly to the element of air; the House colours blue and bronze were chosen to represent the sky and eagle feathers respectively, both having much to do with air.

Ravenclaw House prizes learning, wisdom, wit, and intellect in its members. Thus, many Ravenclaws tend to be academically motivated and talented students. Ravenclaws also pride themselves in being original in their ideas, and methods.

As a Ravenclaw myself, I really wanted to do the book version of the colors.  I tried and tried, but just couldn’t get it to come out right!  I finally ran out of time, and went with this stylized inspiration instead, taking a little from the movie, and inserting a bright pop of aqua in there.

Want to speed up those pairs of socks just a tad? Pssst ... we have a secret in Beatitude, our 3-ply sportweight yarn. With 20% nylon content, this otherwise merino yarn is a sock yarn at heart, in a heavier yarn's body. Sportweight is just right for those in-between garments, too, and Beatitude's soft but strong nature makes it an excellent choice in almost any knitting/crocheting situation.
